It seems that nothing came of that appalling message from earlier. Could that mean, despite the conviction and intensity that man spoke with, residents of this town are as helpless with their powers regained as they are without?

I should like this place very much - it gave me back my body and my life. But I can't bear the thought of all these people separated from their friends and family, living with the constant threat of being rendered soulless for trying to remember who they are. If you do something truly wrong, that defies laws everyone has agreed to follow, then you are tried in a court of law by evidence, not by an arbitrary and invisible government with powers no one can explain.

Tell me, do all the governments in your world follow such laws? If not, are you going to change all of them?

What are you really going back to? Or, sending those you know back to?

It seems that they simply want to get back for the sake of doing so. It appears to be rather counter-intuitive.
