[April could have easily ignored the rumbling if she wanted to, it wasn't even noticeable after a while to her, but curiosity always had a habit of taking over her and so she decides to go and ~investigate

[[Theta approaches her right off the bat. Theta has had her memories wiped, so she doesn't recognise the redhead at all, but she smiles awkwardly and waits for her to sit up from her pavement listening. Weird-looking or not, if Theta could kneel, that would have been something she would have done.]]

[April blinks up at Theta and gives a sheepish smile back, before she sits up and glances at the dairy.] Um, I think the sound is coming from below here...

[[April's voice surprises Theta, and her smile relaxes a bit.]]

Oh...someone else who's English! I'd been feeling rather isolated... Leave it to an Englishwoman to track down the sound, though! Well done!

[[She turns to look at the dairy.]] ...Rather ominous, don't you think, though?

[April give Theta a brief look of confusion; they've already met so why would she be surprised at her being English...

... Though she manages to put it together and instead gives Theta a nod.] Yeah, though since the dairy is locked there's nothing to do except wait and see...

[She peers at April, a bit away watching her curiously]

[April blinks back at her, before looking a bit sheepish and sitting up.] Ah, no, I don't think so anyway. I've been trying to find the weird noise and it, um, seems to be coming from below here...

[She looks around for a sewer access cover]

"I once saw one used as a trap to test one's devotion to law, but, such a thing may also provide an excellent picture of what is below."

Portal to the underwo- oh, do you mean something like a sewer? [She then thinks for a sec.] I'm not sure if it would go underneath the dairy. We would probably have to use the front door, but that's always locked...

[ john naturally approaches, looking down and bending, so he can speak to her properly ]

...What are you doing?

[She blinks up at him, looking a tad sheepish.] Listening for the noise, it sounds like it's coming from below here. [Then she sits up a bit, rubbing her neck slightly.]

What does it sound like?

Kinda like rumbling... and it sounds like some sort of machine, I guess. [She frowns as she scratches her head.]
