I'm excited that we've finally reached this point, as you can tell, because we're about to hit the home stretch - the vague plot/background going on, Elle's entire journey from S2 her to this newer form, and what exactly is going on with Claire.

I loved this bit:

A few times, she walks in on them sitting together on the couch, watching a history show.

Somehow, the last one always feels worst.

I think it shows how much Elle wants more than just the sex - she wants to do the normal things with Claire, who is pretty screwed up at the moment. This is really interesting, and I can't wait to see what you have planned for them.

*breathes a sigh of relief*

One thing I really wanted to bring across throughout this fic is how Elle is developing from the girl we saw in S2 (and I refuse to even acknowledge that S3 nonsense because that... was not Elle, at all) and the fact that, though she's always going to be at least a little off, her relationship with Claire has really changed her - a lot of it has been ugly because Claire is in an awful place right now herself, and it's hurt her a lot in the process - and yet it's been happening, Elle's not playing with people anymore, she's connecting to Claire and through Claire, to a some of the parts of herself that sort of disconnected over the years.

She's no longer okay with being the walking taser, daddy's little agent, she wants the whole thing even if it does hurt.

That you say that inspires hope that I didn't miss the mark too far while trying to write this out, :-)
