Wow! I don't read very many stories that are character based. I usually don't read stories about the parents. However this story drew me in. It really made me understand why Logan was willing to put up with so much from Veronica and why he was so willing to change to be with her. My only critique is that I am not sure if I am supposed to know who Shane McCutcheon is or not. Are Shane, Rebecca, etc. from another series? Other than that, I loved it. Wonderful job!

This makes me a happy bunny since I wanted that to come across. So much of how Logan interacts with everyone around him (everything from his loyalty to Dick to his tendency to sometimes push and attack to get a reaction to how he'll always cling too desperately to Veronica even when it hurts him) can be traced straight back to what he's experienced in his life and as ugly as some of his reactions to tragic things have been, they all fit how he's been raised which is a pretty amazing feat since I don't see that kind of follow-through very often when it comes to the personality effects of this kind of abuse. So as much as he frustrates me, I'm still fascinated.
Because it all fits, you know?

I read this a long time ago (came for the heroes fic, found out you were genius when i saw this crossover), and I loved it then, and I love it now. Just this slow painful slide into Lynn's crappy ending, and how overwhelmed she felt, and it's fantastic (in the way that clearly indicates i need therapy). And to top it all off, there's Shane! and possibly bonus Alice and Dana! I'm not sure if you're still playing in this 'verse or not, but you totally should.
Wow. What an incredible character study in Lynn Lester/Echolls and Logan. You crafted this beautifully, right down to the style (with parenthesis and dashes) and word choices and just... everything.
I always thought Logan had a point about the Chardonnay and sleeping pills, so trying to flesh out why she made the last choice she did was interesting.
wow. that was incredible. i loved Lynn's whole back story. and may i say that Aaron is such a bastard. i really liked the part about Logan creating his own family; and in the series, i could see Lynn liking his friends. This was brilliant, especially for a story centered around a background character. Congrats! I really dug this.
I think what amazes me about Shane's backstory is that I actually can buy it and I think that says a lot. Because it's so clear Ilene just kept throwing stuff out there to make Shane OMGSHOCKING and yet Kate always nailed it when this stuff was even hinted at because she reacted the way a person who had survived all of that would react, everything from how she uses eye contact to her body language and I just brought it, you know? The good thing is, since Ilene never actually used anything and just let Shane sit on the back shelf except for when she pulled her out for a quick plot point, I can really rely on what Kate gave me

I liked the whole awkwardness between Keith and Lynn in S1 so I love imagining how the adults got along around the Core Four before the murder, *g*
