*sigh* Yes, yes, yes! There are a lot of lovely adaptions, but if/when a new one is made, it must be extra long, and have lots and lots of Laurie! :)

Yes! I'm partial to the 1949 version because it's what I grew up with, but I've seen a few others and Laurie is always wonderful. More Laurie would always be good, though!

It is, indeed!

It's not creepy at all to be excited to think about what eternity may have in store for us! :)

Very thoughtful answer to that last question. I think most Christians 'just' say: we go to Heaven if we die. But I once had a class when I was at Bible school about this subject and how the Bible is not so clear about this. Yes, the believers will be with God in eternity, but right after we die or when God's Kingdom starts? And then there's the line about the murderer on the cross, to whom Jesus said: 'You will be with me in Paradise directly'....

Personally, I believe that if we only go to stay with God when God's Kingdom starts, we won't remember the years after we died, for everyone it will be just the blink of an eye. Or we will have the memory of a long and restful sleep.

Mhmmm. It's not exactly simple.

I like your take on it. A long and restful sleep till Kingdom come sounds rather nice. :)

Here's a comment o' randomness!

I'm very much afraid that, though I've tried hard, I never can seem to get into "Mansfield." And I of all people SHOULD be able to, because I like good characters who continue to be good even against opposition. Alcott's "An Old-Fashioned Girl" was one of my favorite books growing up. But it seems I like the idea of the book more than I like the book itself.

Hee, that's okay. I suppose the appeal of "Mansfield" isn't as wide as I would normally assume. Now on to the questions!

1. If you could pit two movie villains against each other, who would they be?

2. How often do you eat lasagna?

3. Your favorite city?

4. If you were to dye your hair a different color for just a week, what color would you choose?

5. If you got a coupon for one free luxury item, what item would that be?

Those are some tough ones! I'll have to give them some serious thought! :-)
