I've learned from past experience not to include my family into my little fangirl obsessions. It bores them to death.
I don't live with my mum or dad, I think if I did still live with my mum she might see JxL (she's a hopeless romantic and has a soft spot for bad guys)

But I think it's best for us fans to keep to ourselves - family doesn't understand. It's better for us to have this creative outlet than resort to smoking & drinking.

Woah...and I though my mom got mad when I wrote violent things. But I know what you mean about the 'can't show my mom or she'll flip' thing. I never show her my work, well except for the Red Eye fanfiction I've got going in my school newspaper. Only people who see my work are the readers on fanfiction.net and my best friend Emily...who use to like Red Eye be doesn't quite like it any more. I hope your mom can find it in her heart to understand that you are very gifted in the art or writing and in your video making and can hopfuly get past the violence. Good luck and I hope things get better^^.
