GOD IT HURTS TO EVEN THINK ABOUT IT.

Seriously, I'm trying not think about the inevitable "glamification and hipification" of Daisy and Tim because it hurts to think how they're going to try to make them "cute" and "geeky" in the most cliche ways possible. Daisy isn't supposed to be "cute" and Tim isn't supposed to be "adorable" and you KNOW, you KNOW that's the first thing they're going to change. Sure, "The Office" managed to break the sick cycle, but it's the exception, not the rule, and even THEN it barely survived its first season. Like para1 said, either way we LOSE.

That is the core point in this whole "American remakes" thing, but you totally have to watch Spaced to get it even more -- the whole thing is so low budget and low key and whacked out that it just makes even LESS sense to try and translate it.
