quarter-life crisis

I'm serious, I'm having one. It's like time flew away from me and now I'm heading towards 30 way too fast. In my early 20s I was traveling all the time, and experiencing new things, etc. Now I'm stuck in Belgium in the never ending rat race, and when I do travel I end up just going to the same places over and over (never mind that I do love those ( Read more... )

I have been meaning to get a couple of new ear piercings but just haven't gotten around to it. Want to go together one of these weekends?

sure, sounds good, I just have to save up some money before because I have to get real gold ones. I've had my ears pierced a couple of times (6 times or so), but they've always gotten severely infected because my skin is too sensitive. I can't wear anything longer than a day that's not real gold, but even then my ears protest (the last few ones I tried were gold if I remember right, it's been some time ago now).

It runs in the family though, my mother and grandmother had the same problem. They couldn't get their ears pierced until they were about 30 years old, then suddenly it was fine. Which is why I want to try again lol now that I'm older.

they were all done with a piercing gun, so maybe that's where it all went wrong to begin with lol. I'm not fond of needles but that's partly the point of this list, facing fears so I'm up for it. Dont know any in Zaventem, and think I know which one you mean in Leuven, we should definitely do that sometime then :)

Well I'm definetly saving to go to Australia, which is made harder by no job lol. But when we get there we can go Scuba Diving! I hear it's wonderful there and it's been too long since I've gone! Also maybe we can take a lotr tour in NZ!

one of my colleagues is going to NZ this year! He was smart though, think I'll do the same when we go to NZ or Australia. He's taking 2 weeks off in 2011 and 2 weeks in 2012 (december-january) so that he can go for a month but still have enough holidays for other times in the year. And we'll definitely should go scuba diving! Though you already did that :P
