Anybody else having major problems accessing LJ over the last few days - pages taking forever to load, or more often just refusing to load at all, that sort of thing? Well, I can't even get into LJ support to see their server status...it took some doing just to get this LJ client logged in to do an update ( Read more... )

Good to see you taking a break and back-on line for a bit, SayAye! :-)

My LJ pages are loading no problem this afternoon, for the first time this week. I did some fiddling with my computer after posting this last entry because I was missing my LJ addiction, but I don't know if that made a difference or if it was something else altogether. Hey, I don't care, so long as I get to read my friends' posts... :-D

This particular work project of mine shouldn't last much longer now - although I won't really believe it's all finished until I've visited my boss's office and checked every dark corner and pile of junk, LOL. He's really a sweet guy and actually quite brilliant at what he does, but he's also terribly disorganised and forgetful...

Anyway:

Go! SayAye! Go! :-D                            Good luck with your remaining four subjects!

Hehe, you put your finger on what's irritating me most about sitting here, working, inside. It's not the digitising, which is really quite undemanding, mostly just a case of turning the music up loud and click-click-clicking away, but I've had to look out on a spell of nice, mild, sunny, dry spring weather this week...and turn down offers of trips out in my parents' car for lunch or walks in the countryside. Damn, huh?

I've been very spoiled over the last year or so with a light workload and lots of time off for swanning around...or playing on the internet...so I'm probably working hard at the moment by my own standards only, LOL. Hell, me not reading Rattie's updates the moment they're posted? - unheard of! Total torment!

But at least I can get into LJ to see all the updates today - and since it's Friday, and I know nobody will do anything with this work I'm meant to be doing until Monday now, I feel there's time for some of my usual procrastinating, hehehe.

LJ's been giving me some problems lately too, although, as my Internet connection is horribly slow to begin with, it hasn't made *that* much difference.

Hope the work clears up and you can have some fun for a change. :)

Phew, I'm delighted to see that LJ seems to be working fine for me today, after about a week of not - hee, my level of frustration with it shows what an addict I am, even if I don't update my own journal too often. I was driven to resort to some serious fiddling with my computer last night, but I don't know if that fixed the problem or if it's just coincidence...

As for the work, well, I confess the reality of the situation is that I've gotten away with being a tremendously lazy sod and never having to get my finger out for a very long time...and when I thought things were back to that normality, they weren't...but never mind, they soon will be, hehe!

And meanwhile, I can procrastinate a bit by gacking that book-quiz thingy from you... ;-D

Hee, I have two mummies in my LJ today, you and Erestor. That's a lot of trailing bandages, should give it a nice gothic atmosphere, now it seems to be working again ( ... )
