Work, Work, LJ Problems, Work...
Anybody else having major problems accessing LJ over the last few days - pages taking forever to load, or more often just refusing to load at all, that sort of thing? Well, I can't even get into LJ support to see their server status...it took some doing just to get this LJ client logged in to do an update.
That's one reason why I'm fairly invisible at the moment, but the main one is work. I thought I'd finally seen the end of the first stage of a huge project that's been on the go since the middle of 2000, but - no. Some things that should not have been forgotten were lost...in the gloom of my boss's office. I think the man's gone gaga. He was on the phone to me four or five times before half past nine this morning, talking nonsense every time. It's fun seeing him grovel, though. He's always so chaotic in his work that he's had to perfect the art. So now he's driving to my door to hand-deliver the latest maps for digitising; not only that, but he has to listen to my nagging as well - or at least, not hang up on it. Mwahahahaha.
This is all very well, but I never wanted to work full-time, let alone double time. I don't think I've worked this hard in decades - if ever. Not only is it one hell of a shock to my system, but it's seriously fucking with my fun. :-D
