*sigh* back to work today.  I had a lovely week off.  The weather was beautiful most days, and just average the rest.  I got caught off guard by some 70+ temps, but it was so nice to be able to open the windows at home for the day.  The cats loved it, too.

Spore babies! they are so cute and helpless, I think my favorite part of the game was zoning out in Zangamarsh... the pretty lights and green wateryness of it all.

Completely agree with you on Canavan's Black Magician books. The ending was so soap opera-ish! The American cover art had nothing to do with the books whatsoever, flaming horse? what flaming horse. And the "high magician" was supposed to be young and hunky not old and evil looking.

I love Knitty, but am leery of trying anything that I haven't seen done already. I've heard good and not so good comments on the pattern vetting.

I love Zangarmarsh, but staring at the sky in Hellfire is still my favorite thing. I still haven't been to a few zones, though, so I might change my mind.

Soap opera-ish is a great way to describe it. Hopefully there will be no "magically back from the dead" sequels. :)

I usually wait a few months before trying a Knitty pattern - so the pattern on the site can be updated, and there's been a knit-a-long or two - but I got sucked in this time. Found a knit-a-long that posted a good suggestion to my problem, so all is well so far. Still annoyed that it happened, though.
