Rolling zombies

My office is co-hosting a conference this week.  I've started referring to it as "the rolling disaster."  Seriously, it's like a cheesy horror movie - every time you think you're safe, a zombie pops up out of nowhere to eat your brains.  Except, instead of zombies, I have teachers with floppy disks and elderly education coordinators ( Read more... )

Best part is, the quality of the Thursday Next books doesn't go down as you progress! They're all quite good. Jasper Fforde is... simply fantastic.

Oh! The UK covers for the books are nuts. They're printed to look like they're old and tattered! I'm really particular about keeping my books looking nice, so the TN books I bought here make me all twitch because they look old and beat up even though they're in perfect condition.

I think my favorite part of all the books is in one of the later ones where a bookstore has a going out of business sale. It degenerates into little old ladies beating each other up for the best buys.

They're such fun books! Light and fun, but intelligent and witty at the same time!
