Two Towers: Breadbox Edition

Aug 25, 2004 15:24

Okay, Two Towers is now up. And as I said I would, I will now tell the story of the "a" in Rohan. As you probably know, I spelled Rohan "Rohn" in the original posting of this BBE. You probably thought this was a mistake. It was, and it was not. Here is how it happened:

This story starts back when I put up the Fellowship of the Ring. In that ( Read more... )

Raahhhhwwrrrr!!! I love these parodies ^_^ I could read them twice a day! My daily dosage of parody goodness. *nods* Very nice..but damn, I LOVED your Azkaban one..almost more than all the others O.o Dunno why. I laughed until I was nearly crying. ^_^ *wipes tear* Good times. But this TTT one is great, too, hehe. I love when the ring talks..that's just great. I think the ring should have talked in the movie. (well, I guess it kinda did o.o)

Well, sure the Ring talked in the movies. But was it a sarcastic, sass-talking Ring? I think not.

Glad you liked Azkaban. Wasn't too sure about that one myself.

Like so many others I just went to ff.net to see what you had written lately and NO BBE's. I'm going to friend you so I can re-read all your wonderful parodies as they are re-posted. Hope that's OK.

Look at the warm fuzzy hilarity! This is probably my favorite BBE except for maybe the Chamber Of Secrets one. I don't know why, but every time I reread it, I almost kill myself from laughing. What kind of horrible twisted person would deny the public this kind of entertainment? What's wrong with these people? *obviously hadn't finished long ff.net rant* But at least theres Livejournals that have a space for such goodness.

I was looking over my "favorite stories" list on ff.n recently and thought it looked strangely smaller than it had previously. It took me a minute or so to figure out what was missing, then it came to me that the Breadbox Editions were gone! *whaps ff.n and their silly rules* I'm glad they live on in your LJ, though. The LOTR ones and the Signs one are quite possibly among the funniest things I've ever read. I hope you can get the ROTK one up once you get your computer troubles fixed. I had this inexplicable urge tonight to read that one line of Sauron's, I can't remember exactly how it goes...something like "GNATS! I will attack you with my invisible GNATS!" *chortles*

I love the gnat line! But no one seems to get it: "What's he talking about gnats for?" Invisible gnats rule!

I'm glad you found me again. The RotK Breadbox is up now, by the way.

i have to admit, i, too, was one of the rabid ring nuts who got mad at the end of TT. a couple of friends of mine who are also great fans of yours got into a spot of trouble at the theatre where we saw RotK because we were carrying on our own commentary (we were whispering, though, i promise!) during the parts of the movie that were more obviously deviant from the books. you did a much better job of being clever in the BBE, needless to say.

ps. sorry about the e.e. cummings thing. my left arm is broken so it's hard to do caps. although, archie the cockroach has his own peculiar charm.

Ouch, sorry about your arm. I don't mind the no caps. I can just pretend I'm reading deep poetry...on Lord of the Rings...in a livejournal...yeah.

I had a friend who would gesticulate wildly whenever something deviated from the book. I would just write stuff down, and avoid her flailing arms.

the premise works up until the livejournal part; im reading a book on philosophy and lord of the rings right now. im not sure whether to be happy or frightened that there are others who think the same way i do, haha. glad to hear you avoided the flailing appendages of an angry tolkien fanatic. it's not always easy.
