If you're sad because you're not going to be at readercon to be part of the live story I'm doing with Elizabeth bear, michael swanwick, and lee Moyer, we've just found out that Locus Magazine is going to be live-blogging the whole thing. Not sure of the URL but google it. I'm in a car bouncing around like a ping pong ball right now.

So many big posts behind.... Great news to share but the wifi's broken on this Megabus and the thought of actually trying to type it on my phone is ... abhorrent to every bone in my body.
I'm in NYC finishing up the Neil / Amanda / Me Top Sekret Project today, another one about to start.

Long day yesterday, lots of water. We were up early shooting Imp and Eva and Imp and Abalyn in bed then a whirlwind of pickup shots.
Today were at the most beautiful library taking shots of Imp and abalyn researching the mysteries of the drowning girl. Brian and Caitlin are mostly shooting video with Nicola who plays Imp.

Day 3

We spent much of yesterday in the woods and along the blackstone river, then with the big bathtub scene and really pushed our actors. Everything was relatively high concept and specific. Got finished shooting around 10:30 at night. I finally crawled onto a chase lounge at 12:30, put my earphones in and went to sleep while the rest of the cast ( Read more... ) -

I'm giving a lecture tonight at the Philadelphia Sketch Club, which is the oldest art club in the United States, founded by Thomas Eakins and a bunch of miscreants from the Academy of Fine Arts who didn't feel like they really fit in. It's official -- we're calling off the shoot. They're predicting the worst storm in a century to hit New England. We're worried people won't be able to get home and we can't do the entire shoot indoors.
It's frustrating to ramp up to a day like this and then have the whistle blow.
We'll just be better prepared now. -

Hurricane Irene is looking like it's going to really slam New England. Emailing back and forth with Caitlin all day, checking weather reports and wondering if we'll have to postpone.
