Since the whole ship kafuffle began, I've been writing. Well, developing characters in an environment. This kind of 'world building' is extremely gratifying, but complex, even for a simple book like the one I'm working on. I think finishing and knowing that I have written something acceptable will be a stellar moment for me even if it never gets

I still cannot comprehend the magnitude of the destruction in The Gulf. It's surreal, like we are back watching pictures from the Tsunami. Nightmarish deja-vu. It's a parade of old cars, refurbished cars and funky cars with fuzzy dice! It's the annual Woodward Dream Cruise and this year it's bigger and better than ever! The cars are hot and it is one of the brightest spots of the summer for the city of Detroit (even though it takes place in Royal Oak, LOL) It would be wonderful if there could be a city ( Read more... )
