Wow. Just got off the phone with my mother. Apparently, my making the comment that Jason would sut in the car while the kids and I had dinner made my dad cancel. So I can stop by with the kids for a few minutes, let them meet my dad and have a snack, or not. And that it wasn't fair that I was making them choose. I shut that down right away because

I hate that this stupidity with my family is affecting my kids. At least my inlaws rock and shower my kids with plenty of love. I'm looking forward to seeing them, definitely. We're hoping to visit NYC too, and see how much the kids can tolerate of the noise and hubbub. I would love to take the kids around to our old haunts and show them where we came from. That's what I'm really looking forward to with this trip.
