One year later..

It's been one year since I bought my new laptop (where does the time go?!) and it's been great for the first year. A couple of scratches on the front cover, a roommate got a little make-up smeared on the front cover at a con (I forgot who and which con), but everything else is running smoothly and I still love how last year this was the first ( Read more... )

Whoa. My labtop is also a year old and it still runs fine but unfortunately it doesn't play blu-ray discs.

Le gasp. Can you recommend me where I can buy one online? The idea of having two labtops sounds crazy, but if I had one that plays blu-ray, I wouldn't have to buy a PS3.

amazon.com, or bestbuy.com

You can get other brands besides Sony that play Blu-Ray movies: HP, Dell, & Toshiba.

What I like is that you can hook-up your laptop with the HDMI port to HD TV, and watch the movies in 720 or 1080p HD. ^_^

Thank you! This would save me a lot of trouble of having to buy a new TV, too. x_x

Sony Vaio laptops are SO nice. I have one that I got a little cheaper than normal because it was on it's way off the Future Shop shelf anyways. Unfortunately it doesn't play Blu-Ray (but I just bought a PS3, so it's alright.)
I get a lot of flack from people for having a Vaio because they "aren't good enough" or "shitty specs" or "eww, sony"
I don't know anyone else with a similar laptop to me XD This post makes me happy

(Pssst. How was Advent Children Complete? Worth it?)

Thank you! Most people are like that with regards to my Sony Alpha DSLR, but we can't all use Canons or Nikons, and I've gotten a lot of nice pictures with my Sony. ^_^

Only beef with my laptop is the battery. Fully-charged, it'll only last 2-2.5 hours, but I mainly use it plugged-in, so only when I need to use the battery I can survive watching one full movie (i.e. on a plane.)

I haven't watched a lot of FFVII: ACC since I got it (not too long ago) but so-far the extra footage added in is nice. I wish they would make it separate so you could choose to watch either version.
