THANK YOU MY DARLING FLIST FOR ALL THE LOVELY BIRTHDAY WISHES! *hugs you all*

I've working a lot lately, but I'm still lurking all over, sadly only have little time to comment and post, but hopefully this will change next week.
(And OMG I've lost hours reading VB wank over at fandom_wank, an insanely entertaining and disturbing blast from the past ( Read more... )

Since they've completely failed to give her a proper role this season, I don't know that they're going to do with her hanging about in season three.
Hmm... you make a very valid point! I would love to see her run her father's smithy, but there's no way that would happen. I think she should go on an epic quest to find Morgana. And when she gets back, she'll be more like the wonderful Gwen from s1, rather than this newer, bustier Gwen.
However, they'll probably give her some random, ambiguous assignment serving in the castle, where she'll be available for Arthur's long, sorrowful looks. (Conveniently on-hand plot device, that's what she'll be!)

I'm afraid that's the most likely scenario. But an epic Morgana quest would be so awesome, she could meet Lancelot along the way.

I love your epic quest idea but we all know she's going to be hanging around serving *someone* as a handy plot device.

Firstly, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! Ah, I'm so bad with birthdays, I always miss them! But I hope you had a fabulous day :)

Secondly, I never even thought about what they'd do with Gwen. She still has the home she lived in with her father, but she'd pretty much be out of a job since there aren't any other royal ladies for her to wait on. And I don't see her being made Arthur's servant. New blacksmith? lolol.

Mine neither. The best 'romance' ( if you can call it that) was between Merlin and Freya, although I felt that was more of a friendship as well. But that really made me go awwwww and cry in the end.
But other than that....no no real romance, leaving aside the obvious Merlin/Arthur romance that is ;)

Yes they really, really can't do romance, unless it's of the unintentional variety like M/A ;)

Bradley has said he would like to see more love interests for Arthur, the same could be done with Gwen, if they hadn't already rushed forward with the all the 'one-true-love' crap.
Now being a family show they would only make both characters look bad if they keep falling for other people.

Well obviously, Uther will die in S3, and then Gwen and Arthur's wedding will be the big finale!

*hangs self*

I'm trying to not think about it and reading a lot of pre-S2 fanfic.

Also, I've long believed that Bradley is a bossy bottom. ;)

I DO NOT WANT TO SEE G/A WEDDING HAPPEN ON THIS SHOW!! Unless he marries her and then leaves her at home while he goes off on adventures with his manservant/magician ;)

Oh I'm sure Bradley never shuts up, even in bed....be giving commands all the time :D

See, with Morgana gone, who else is she going to have scenes with now? It can only be Arthur.
I'm assuming as a lady's maid she was in a quite high position in the servant hierarchy, so she can't just go back to being a common serving girl.

The search for Morgana of girl!blacksmith would be fantastic....or if that fails, maybe apprentice to Gaius? I mean they have to give her something to do.
