Insecurity is a bitch, isn't it?

I want to be better. A better vidder. I feel so empty whenever I finish a vid. It suddenly becomes not good enough. And then I think "but how can I make one better"? Dammit. Must make better vids.
Must. Make. Better. Vids. I want my next one to wow you all.

Stupid Smallville. Why won't you give me any good source ( Read more... )

I'm at the point where I feel limited by Windows Movie Maker, and I have a copy of ULead... but I have no idea how to use the thing. :(

I wish I knew that program so I could help you, but I use Premiere.

WMM is crap. It's great that you are upgrading, because I've never used a program quite so aggrevating as Movie Maker. It crashes an insane amount.

It does! And I have no idea why... and I have a vid finished on my computer that it won't save. Again - I don't know why...

Bit Torrent and Kazaa are the way I went about it. The program for Bit Torrent can be found here. And a sight to find the torrents is here.

Kazaa is the kind of thing that a lot of people are backing away from now adays because it does bad things to your computer. I use KazaaLite, which is better, but now has fees associated if you download (unless you are sneaky and use another donwloading program to download Kazaalite instead of buy it). But if you have the program already, or are willing to deal with the spyware, that is where I found a lot of the episodes.

Don't stop vidding, please! heliodor_a May 23 2005, 15:45:04 UTC
Hi, I just wanted to tell you that I love your vids. Weapon is my favourite, I could watch it over and over again. And I really like Hurt and Woman. You did an amazing job on your vids and I hope you will be vidding smallville again. I'd love to see more vids from you.

I want to be better. A better vidder.

I know the feeling. However, you've succeeded and excelled past where others, myself included, have either failed or are stuck.

{rueful grin} I'm working on a Smallville vid, after being an ex-Oz vidder (last Oz vid was in 2002, I believe), ex-LOTR vidder, and done enough HP vids. The irony was I was going to ask you for some tips and sort of 'dissect' your vids via discussion... I guess picking up Smallville wasn't a good idea. {chuckle} :-\ I saw a couple of your SV vids and enjoyed them. When seeking advice in fan fiction circles, a person generally tries asking for tips from the skilled folk.

So, um, this is awkward... since you're stepping back from Smallville, do you know of good SV vidders online who wouldn't mind if I asked them some aesthetic vidding questions? Vidding and grammar are similar to me in the sense that I'll have to fight for every step forward because I ultimately don't understand the principles.
