I just recently had my interview, and they asked some of these questions: -Why do you want to go to Lang? -What courses are you taking right now? -What will you bring to lang?
Personally, my interview went off a bit into a completely unrelated discussion because I want to work in fashion magazines and we had a whole discussion that was related to that.
In terms of other things (the cd of your music), I'd bring it with you to your interview. For my interview I brought a magazine that I contributed to with fashion spreads and they put them into my file to be seen with my application.
Your test scores and GPA look perfect, so I wouldn't worry about that too much.
Good luck!
P.S During your interview, just make it clear to them that you are very interested and that Lang unlike any other school, fits your needs. Be specific and be charismatic. Don't close up! Be open and genuine.
From my Lang admissions experience (I'm a current Lang sophomore), the comment above is pretty much spot-on. You have pretty good SAT scores and your GPA is solidly within the range for Lang. Make sure to mention in your interview that you wanted to apply ED and ended up respecting your parents' concerns about applying before visiting. I sent in a writing sample along with my application, and I know other people who have sent in CDs, photographs, DVDs, etc., so if you think your music can help you get in, give it to them. Good luck!
the interview went well, other than the fact that I had a cold (for some reason I always get mildly ill on the week of my birthday...). My interviewer was very nice and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all.
The New School admissions building was beautiful, and the campus tour was enlightening to the point that it made me really really really want to go to school at Lang next year. My parents loved it too, which made me happy because they were pretty skeptical going into it.
Good luck to everybody, April 1st feels like forever away :p
