I'm loving All-New X-Men! I'm finding it very interesting and each time I can't wait for the next issue. Of course, I bet I'm missing a lot of things like characterisation and continuity (like you say) since I haven't read X-Men before (except a few tie-ins to major events here and there), but this made me (finally!!!) start reading old X-Men stuff, too. I'm still in the late 70s, so I have a looooong way to go, but I'm really enjoying getting to know these characters better. :)

Avengers and New Avengers used to be two of my favourite titles but... I don't feel much excitement about them now. Good to know you liked NA #2, haven't read that one yet. But man, I'm gonna miss Luke Cage! I know you're not a fan of Bendis's writing IIRC, but apparently I like it a lot (even if all characters have the same speech patterns) because that's when I got into Avengers and now getting into X-Men. :P

I'm finding ANXM pretty fun too! It wasn't an easy sell for me, so it's pretty meaningful ( ... )

I find the 70's stuff still pretty dorky Heh, yeah, I thought I'd be just skimming quickly through it all, and yet I find myself actually reading several stories or at least the parts that have to do with character and team dynamics, because yes, I'm really enjoying those aspects. (Though I could do with less thought bubbles and OTT speech, but well, all comics of that era had those!) I've been told things get more interesting in the 80s regarding characters and everything and I'm looking forward to it ( ... )

lol yes, well OTT speech is pretty much a signature style of Claremont. You get used to it after a while :p I'm glad you already like the characters though. They are darlings ♥

Ah, yes. New Avengers is definitely not the same anymore, since it's a sequel to the Illuminati rather than a slightly more street level team of Avengers.

Yeah, I think a lot of people like Bendis for that reason. It's not exactly where i started myself (well I did read Dark Avengers pretty early), but I also listen a lot to when people say stuff is OOC even when I don't know it for a fact myself?

House of M can be considered as the prologue to a lot of different things ^^

LOL yeah I get pickier about stuff a lot myself.

Voyons, la liste de ce que je voulais tester (dans très longtemps. Hum)
- All New X-men
- FF
- F4
- X-men Legacy
- Young Avengers

Et ce que tu me donnes envie d'essayer
- New Avengers
- Journey into Mystery
- Cable & X-Force
- Thor

Ca veut dire que All New X-men va passer sur quelqu'un d'autre ? Ou je confonds ? Ou les deux sont en parallèle ?

All New X-Men est centré sur les jeunes O5. Plus d'autres X-Men qui réagissent par rapport à eux. Le début avait aussi Cyclops' X-Men mais je crois qu'ils vont être moins présents par la suite.

JiM has lost me already, interest-wise. I'm giving it a chance for a few more issues, but if I weren't already interested in Sif, well - the book isn't giving me any reason to care about what's happening ...

Legacy appears to be getting better, after a start that was way too slow for me.

And ANXM I'm enjoying a lot, as I said above. Oh, and I liked Jean's nightmare - I'm choosing to see that as a good sign. *g*

Yeah Legacy was a bit meandering, though it did have a lot of character work to do with Legion.

LOL

IMO Legacy made the same mistake as JiM - it initially didn't give me any reason to care about what was happening. And unlike Sif, I'm really not that interested in Legion to begin with. Character work is important, but first you've got to make me care!

That makes sense, yes. I think comics can be lazy with that because lots of people come pre-attached to the character from previous appearances.
