JaeJoong cleansed the entire apartment the next day (having nothing better to do after all). He also finished all the shopping and bought everything he needed to repaint their apartment since the two have been planning this for weeks now.
He put on some worn out clothes he had and began to brush the room a nice dark shade of beige.
It took him nearly four hours to paint the place, and that was just the living room. He decided to leave the other rooms for another day being as he was too tired to continue.
He opened some of the windows to air out the strong fumes and went in the bathroom to rinse off in the shower.
It was only eight o’clock at night, and since JaeJoong knew he had nothing else to do and so made the decision to go to bed early, but before he got a chance to change into his pajamas, he heard the doorbell ring and quickly went to open the door.
“Changmin, what are you doing here?”
“Hello, I’m sorry to bother you, but Yunho-shii has asked for me to take you out tonight.”
“Yunho?” he asked excitedly, “is he here?”
“Well, not exactly, but he did say he wanted me to take you out somewhere specific for a surprise.”
JaeJoong turned to look at the time on the wall, “right now?” Changmin nodded.
“Ok, just give me a minute to freshen up. You could wait inside if you’d like.”
He shook his head, “its alright, I’ll just wait out front with the limo.”
“L-Limo?” he stuttered as he looked past him to where the black stretch vehicle awaited him.
“One moment please” JaeJoong said and ran upstairs quickly to check himself in the mirror once and came right back down.
“Ok” he panted, “I’m ready.”

Changmin took him to one of the many five-star restaurants in the area and seated him at a table.
“When is Yunho coming?” he asked impatiently.
“Soon, I think” he replied.
JaeJoong sat there for about ten minutes until he began to hear a piano nearby playing slow and melodiously.
JaeJoong admired the person from his back playing and was pulled into the music instantly. It was very harmonious and romantic that he just couldn’t tear himself away from the noise.
He rested his chin on his hands that were propped up using his elbows and closed his eyes, taking everything in slowly.
When the tune stopped coming from the piano, he watched as the man stood up from the bench and walked out of his sight.
“Would you like to play it?” Changmin came besides him and asked as he noticed JaeJoong eyeing the grand musical piece eagerly.
He looked up at him, “could I?”
Changmin pointed to it, “Its right there, go ahead.”
JaeJoong stood up and approached the piano carefully. As he walked up the steps leading to it, he noticed from afar something bright illuminating off the instrument.
When he was close enough to examine what it was exactly, to his surprise, it was a dazzling orange rose resting on the music rack.
Behind the rose layed a card which JaeJoong picked up and read,
JaeJoong-ah,
Today I caught myself smiling for no reason ... then I realized I was thinking about you.
I'd find myself sitting alone in my office looking out the window, hoping you would suddenly appear out of thin air and I would be able to hold you in my arms once again.
I guess what I'm trying to say is I want - no, need you back here with me, because without you, I think I've gone a little bit insane.
~ Yunho^^
JaeJoong lifted the rose to smell its fruitful scent. He buried his nose deep inside it, anxious to add this new rose to his collection at home.
He had forgotten all about playing the piano and walked back to his table where Changmin was waiting and sat down opposite from him.
“Changmin, can I ask you something?” he asked as he twirled the flower in his hand.
“Sure, what is it?”
“… Yunho was here, wasn’t he?”
He hesitated before answering, “Yeah, he was.”
“Tomorrow’s my birthday” he announced, “I hope he’ll come for that at least.”
“Trust me, knowing Yunho for only two days really, he’s probably planning something you can’t even imagine.”
“That’s true” he said smiling while glancing down at the rose, “after all, Yunho was always known for being the romantic type.”

A/N:
Orange roses are a symbol of desire. "I desire you" or "I desire to get to know you better" is the message that they send.
