I ended up at the vet with my mom and my dog. She had a cyst pop. I told my mom that it was really rotten smelling, and they needed to clean it out to see if she was okay. Finally, they looked at it. It was pretty bad, so they made an appointment at the vet today. Since dad was going to be busy, I went to help mom with the dog. The cyst was

Poor doggy! What's the reason for the cysts? Do they just come with old age?

What kind of dog is she?

She is a Norwegian Elkhound. Supposedly, cyst can be common for the breed when they're older.

She's still trying to sleep off the drugs, and she is pretty sore. Hopefully, she will get better quickly. On top of her arthritis, this is giving her a hard time.
