Oh, wonderful. This is so gorgeous and sorrowful, you make my heart hurt. Stefan's whole thing about trying to figure out what he's doing wrong so he can be better is put across so well, and is so sad, especially him thinking those thoughts while Katherine's literally stopping him from making his own choices, forcing him to do the wrong thing, and he's blaming himself even though it's all her, and Katherine wants the truth but is saddened by it. So brilliant

Like, someday I just need to write Katherine POV on Stefan. Because, you're totally right. Stefan's mindset right here is profoundly sad. He feels guilt for not being able to comfort him (AND HE CAN'T DO THAT BECAUSE HE'S TOO WEAK TO RAISE HIS ARM BECAUSE SHE'S DRAINED HIS BLOOD) but, man, Katherine, right here? This is why Stefan broke her as much as she broke him. Damon was much easier to love, I think, than Stefan. Stefan got under his skin in a way that no one else ever has, not even Elijah, and I really want to explore that. It's just hard to in tight Stefan pov because he's nowhere near ready to emotionally see that (and frankly, I don't think he ever has to.)

Damon wouldn't change Stefan's world, he'll just force Stefan into his own world. Yes, basically. Damon love Stefan, even his pack rat obsessiveness. So he won't actually do anything to harm that part of him (at least not in their

Ooh, you should so do that Katherine POV fic. Yeah, I agree, I think Stefan saw a part of her that she could barely see, let alone anyone else, and it was real up until the moment it wasn't at all real, and that had to hurt. Also when she comes back in season 2 and keeps force-hugging Stefan, there's something so lonely about that.

I will never have enough of the Salvatores and their messed up ways. And Damon regularly tidying Stefan's room is my new head-canon.

Caroline and Stefan stuff will happen in season four, it says so on the predictions chart I made ;D (It also says Bonnie will go proper darkside, and Stefan will help save her). I really hope there's a lot of Caroline Stefan scenes in season four, it was one of the things I really missed in season 3.

When you look at it this way, it becomes so clear why Stefan has a twisted idea of love. He trusts Lexi and Damon, and that was as hard to read as it was to watch.

I do love Caroline's section though. Stefan making it not about Elena, and Caroline admitting she had put him on a pedestal (and punching him a few times).

It is so, so perfect that Stefan 'submitting' to Elena is the least traditional "submission" ever -- rather, it's simply being there for her.

MY FAVORITE THING TO WRITE WAS STEFAN BEING LIKE OKAY. YEAH I'M NOT EXACTLY SURE HOW LONG I'VE BEEN TIED DOWN. BUT I TRUST LEXI ♥. The Damon one was actually, I think, the most important one in the fic? Which is why it's the longest. IT SORT OF TOOK OVER. Stefan's not coping and Damon decides to fix him by threatening to overpower him and Stefan sort of realizes it's a little fucked up not to be upset. BUT HIS BIG BROTHER IS STRONG AND WILL TAKE CARE OF HIM

It was a side affect of being in a windowless cellar with Lexi twisting his sense of time to dry him out faster. But he wasn't worried. Lexi knew what she was doing and he trusted her.

I really like how you write this, write them. It's such a peculiar dynamic, but the way it comes down to Stefan's complete and total faith in her. It's so strong and unbreakable, like a religion almost.

That's my favorite Stefan/Katherine moment, bare none. Katherine is thrown off guard. Even as a human, she played outside the norms, getting pregnant before marriage. But here is this child, this child who plays by the rules so perfectly, looking at her and seeing goodness. And Stefan. It's just. He doesn't even know how to put into words what he feels. He's seventeen and in love and his skin is burning with the desire to touch her. aldfkawjoefsa.
