The Thursday Next is awesome - you capture her style extremely well, love to read more.

Suspect the DS requires knowing more than I can remember (almost nothing).

There does exist somewhere the bare-bones of a Middleman story that I fiddled with as a potential Yuletide entry (I ended up going with a Castle story), but ended up abandoning due to time constraints. I've actually been prodding at it recently (see: yesterday) and am thinking that it'll be a good way to distract myself on a transatlantic flight where I'm not going to be able to eat any of the food (upon querying AA about their 'special' meals, it appears that the concept of 'dairy-free' has escaped them, and they're not sure whether or not the flight I'll be on will have a vegan option--I have to check when I check in on the day, oy), because, uh, it's a complicated story ( ... )

aaaaand, I hit reply too soon. The Thursday Next one amuses me because I'm a gigantic wordplay dorkand I've already invented my own variety of grammasite that is integral to the plot (apostrofleas - related to bookworms, except they absorb margin justifications and excrete stray punctuation, and almost universally live in market stall signage)
