Sounds awesome to me!

Kinda makes me wish I was still active in the fan fiction arena, so they might have emailed me too - though I expect I would probably have had the same reaction as you.

But hey - where's the harm in finding out more? I'll come along with you, if you like... :o)

>>Is this something you might be interested in? Or do you know someone who might be?<<

It turns out there's a part of me that's desperately sticking my hand in the air and screaming "me, me, me, pick me!!"

:o)

I will forward the shit out of your contact details, if you want?

(also, I am trying to compose an adult response indicating interest but also insisting on ironclad levels of pseud useage as a salve to my epic paranoia)

Dude, you can use your pseudonym! Or do it anonymously! You can still compartmentalise, I should think. I think what you should be asking yourself, possibly, is: can I tell them why I write, and what I write? and are there preconceptions out there that I can debunk? and do I have opinions about author consent and the role of the author in the whole thing? I'm pretty sure you could put together an argument about all of those things!

You'd be surprised (and probably shocked) to find out what the listeners of R4 are into ;-)

I'm beginning to suspect this is the case!

That sounds pretty interesting, and I think the very reaction that you are putting forth in this post would really illustrate how a lot of fan fic writers feel about it all. On the other hand, that's kinda freaky... I kinda don't think I would do it, if someone contacted me for the same reason. I'm "out" fan fic-wise to my friends and family, but not to my co-workers and students. In fact, it's something that might get me fired, so yeah. I'd highly recommend doing a Pros/Cons list and taking a good long time to think about it. It could be a very rewarding and validating experience, but it might also have some negative repercussions, too.

All that said -- you totally ARE that interesting. :P

That sounds pretty awesome. I know for a fact that I could listen to you talk for hours and hours about this stuff. You are indeed very interesting. I also get the whole anonymity thing. I expect I'm too late, but , but if not, just make sure that you are okay with their version of anonymity, and if you are, I say; go for it!

ps: Hi! I miss you!
