Is the red suitable (perhaps with fulling) for slashing? I have a friend who was looking for red wool for German Boy Garb...

Doubtful. The red is a worsted, so it won't full much, if at all.

I do have sample coming of a red wool gab, but I don't know if it'll full or not. If it gets here and looks like it would work, I will definitely let you know. :-)

Something semi-fitted (e.g. 12th c,) yes, but probably not anything later, unless it's fully lined.
