It's ok, I was just pissed because I really hate spoiling shit for people, which is why I labeled it. I cut it now, so hopefully it won't ruin anything for anyone else.
I can't wait to see it...except I'll have to, at least until I get back from Oregon.
I'm so glad I saw it when I was in New York, so that the movie wouldn't be my first exposure...plus I wouldn't have been nearly as excited about it as I am.
Also: I less than three Mark, too. And if I could pick any part to play in a gender-blind cast, I'd be him. ^_^;
I know! My choices for Rent roles to play (in a world where gender doesn't exist) goes 1. Mark 2. Angel 3. Maureen
In high school, I did Over The Moon for a black box show and I rocked it, if I do say so myself. I had people asking me afterwards if I had written it. Hee.
Oh man...now that it is a movie...I can't help it, the word "shadowcast" crossed my mind. No. It's not the right movie for it at all. But hee. It's fun to think about.
I am so freaking excited, I just hope that there will be a theatre in Montana that actually gets it- there are only two theatres here but they play a ton of independent movies and stuff so it's not too podunk. In fact, if no one can go with me, since I only know a couple people here, I'm prepared to go to a movie alone for the first time in my life.
I was totally having flashbacks to when we all went! Remember how Candice had trouble parking and we were late? I still remeber entering the theater right as Mark's mom sang, "So let her be a lesbiAAAAAAAAAAN!"

Wear the shirt! or the costume! Or both! I totally wanted to do my "mark" costume and bring my video camera, but it's not the same with other rentheads, plus I was there professionally. That didn't stop me from mouthing the words to every song and crying like a baby though ^_^ I shan't tell you a thing. We'll geek out about every little detail later :D I knew Adam Pascal was Roger and as soon as I read it I recognized the connection between that name and SLC Punk in my brain, but I'd never noticed it before that. Seriously, last night I had to pull out my SLC Punk DVDs and just watch the scenes he was in. GOD he's so dreamy. Fwee.
I just hope that you feel the same way I do about all the changes they made. To be fair, they made a lot, but I really think all of them worked in the film. IOt's like Princess Bride: there were a LOT of changes from the book to the movie, but they both exist as awesome entities.

That's all I can really say right now without geeking out more, so I'll stop while I'm ahead.
