Swanliness.

I am watching Swan and My Way from the Olympics in HQ and I'm half asleep, but he is so incredibly beautiful, it almost makes me think I'm already dreaming. I don't think I've ever seen anything as graceful and sparkly as Johnny Weir in my life. LOVE! Can you believe it's been a year already ( Read more... )

I was watching home videos from 2003 regionals tonight, and seeing Valse Triste and Dr. Zhivago (with J being BLONDE) really moved me. Two completely amazing programs performed by a completely amazing skater.

Competition results are flukey. He's the best, no matter what the results are. No one skates a complete package like he does.

I completely agree. Nobody's skating is as entrancing as his.

Want to know something slightly ridiculous and embarrassing? (lol Depends on how you look at it I guess.) But for THE longest time I didn't realize that the Swan had a straight line step sequence. I mean, of course I KNEW that the program had a straight line step sequence and had heard the commentators talk about it a trillion times etc. But. It's like I was always kind of entranced by the thing as a whole that I never really paid attention to all the single elements. And I didn't realize until not long ago that what he's doing in the end is actually a step sequence. LOL I know it sounds dumb and I'm not sure if I'm explaining it well at all. But 'till then he was always just, kind of like floating around prettily - it was so disguised. (Or I'm just a hypnotized idiot, ahaha.)
It was funny as hell when it hit me.

Mishin/Frank Carroll.
Eeeee----eeeek. XDDD

What's Marco like?

Lol, I like... read your comment and thought: wow, true! I never noticed, either. I mean... I did somehow, but I never focus on it as a step sequence, even though in other programs I do that - I would always fall in love with the straight line step sequences, specifically. So I had to go and watch a video of the Swan and FOCUS to actually SEE the step sequence. Haha. In my head, the Swan is one complete piece, it's so perfectly complex and so fluent that I don't even notice the separate parts. You're not a hypnotized idiot... Or we're both hypnotized idiots.

Marco... I haven't really talked to him. Half-Italian, dark hair, tanned.

Who is paying for that? O_O It's in fucking JAPAN.

But yeah... that's awesome. I'm not even jealous. Well, just a little, but Worlds is so unattainable that I'm not really jealous, because I know that it's out of my reach.
They need to make sure to make some proper noise if the Japanese don't. (But I'm sure they will.)

Of course, Dobric can skate more better. There was an information, that he had an injury after the fall in SP and that's why he couldn't skate well. Lutai is great and I'm sure he'll show what he acn. He had very low points for his spins and was very upset, because he had level 3 and 4 in other compititions this season.
And also I wanna ask you: when did your love to Johnny begin?

When did my love for Johnny begin?
Well, I first registered him on February 13th, 2006 and it all took off after I saw him skate.
So yeah, my love for him started last February and has been continuously growing since then.

mmmm, I thought earlier. I noticed him in 2002, I was so surprised because of his flexibility and artistry. A commentator said that he began to skate when he was 12 and I began to respect him. I rememberd about this cute American boy. Then I saw him live in CoR 2004, then in Worlds 2005. It was one of his best performances ever! And I was so glad when he was the 2nd after SP in OG and was so excited, because now he has so many fans))

He will get a lot of support from the Japanese. My Japanese friend told me that he is the kind of person the Japanese find cute and that she is sure that he's very loved there. I hope Worlds are awesome.
