I am watching Swan and My Way from the Olympics in HQ and I'm half asleep, but he is so incredibly beautiful, it almost makes me think I'm already dreaming. I don't think I've ever seen anything as graceful and sparkly as Johnny Weir in my life. LOVE! Can you believe it's been a year already?
Also, the Nats exhibition is on TV on Sunday, I must not forget that. I have to get back from the planned shopping spree in time.
I downloaded Dobrin's and Lutai's LPs from Euros today, watched them earlier tonight. Dobrin has a new costume, doesn't he. I felt so sorry for him, because I know he can do much better - the british Eurosport commentators know that, too. Lutai's performance was impressive for a guy I've never heard of before this season, but he was sort of heavy on the jumps and slow on the rest - half of the time, I had the impression that he's gonna fall down in the next moment. But he could be pretty good in the future. Mishin's coaching him, after all. Dude, somebody should write Mishin/Frank Carroll. ;)
I am going to a youth group full of Russians tomorrow evening. The son of one of the Russian (or Ukrainian) ladies at work is picking me up. Could be fun.
A new guy arrived tonight, Marco. They say that whether you're gonna like someone or not gets determined in the first 10 seconds. If they are true, I think I might not like Marco very much.
I am so exhausted. My back muscles hurt like hell; I wonder if it's from work or from yesterday's and today's work out.
I'm ready to pass out, I think. I don't even have the strength to watch the last Olys vid.
edit: One thing I was thinking about just before I went to bed last night (I was listening to King of Chess & Child of Nazareth)... I was thinking that if I could, if I had the money, I wouldn't hesitate to go all the way to Tokyo just to watch Johnny's two programs, just to jump up before his performance and yell a go Johnny! I hope he gets a lot of support from the Japanese.
