Well, what can I say? All promises of frequently updating this blog evidently fell by the wayside, although that's perhaps not a surprise considering my past history. Another year has gone by and I've not posted, but here I am, finally logged in, and I have some terrific news.

IT'S SPRING!!! :D
The world is waking up at last! After what seems like a harsh and endless winter is finally giving way to an extra few degrees of warmth and a bit more sun. And that makes the world beautiful, because all round the bustops and on the edges of the fields the crocuses are blooming in all their delicate glory and the daffodils are starting to flower. Great writing exercise from Writing and the Practice of Literature that I absolutely loved doing!
This was an exercise set by Jeremy Treglown as part of an introduction to his Writing and the Practice of Literature module (one that I'm auditing in addition to my official course modules). Today is an odd day.
Do you ever get one of those days where the things that should make you happy have completely the opposite effect? This is a tricky one, because I've not been alive all that long and been interested in music only for just under half of it, so my knowledge of great singers isn't all that broad or diverse. Yet another hugely delayed post...
I really am terrible at this, aren't I? When it comes to updating my Creative Writing blogs for Uni, I'm fantastic, update them loads, even if it is sometimes a ton of rubbish. But this? The blog that occupies the space of "Oh, I must do that next weekend..." and next weekend never comes ( Read more... ) -

... I haven't been on here for almost a year...
Very sorry for my absence; things have been difficult to say the least, and I had practically forgotten about Livejournal until I found a note about it in one of my computer files. I'll get back on here properly over the Easter hols.

Uuuurgh. Life ain't great right now. Essays due in soon, not ready, absolutely exhausted and feeling dizzy and sick. Got more assignments coming up and exams. So basically just a note to say why you haven't been hearing from me and won't be hearing from me for a little while yet.
