Oh, I didn't know the Carlson Septs were originally triplets. :D (In another universe, anyway.)

And gee, I've got NO idea what it's like to have a character psychoanalyze herself while examining the nature of a fantasy life! ^__^

Ahhh, I totally forgot about Cassie in Finding Mulligan, but now that you mention it, IT'S SO SIMILAR. They both feel guilty over things that happened in their past too. This makes me excited for some reason. Just knowing that Cassie might be a sympathetic listener for Claire makes "me" feel better. (I think you probably get the significance of the quotation marks!) And the fantasy world connection is super-exciting because it's a big part of my story (and a big part of what I'm adding to the story rather than retelling real world events on which it's based).

'Kay, "I" have to go write "my" story now. :D
