Public Service Announcement: CNV day is here!!! - 3rd Update!

Feb 06, 2012 20:58

A shout-out to all the people I'd been trying (by leaving mysterious hints about female friendship, female pilot in WWII and lots of tissues needed) to convince to eventually read Elizabeth Wein's Code Name Verity - on a thread of Rachel Manija's, I remember, and wherever else...

Okay, you've convinced me - that sounds pretty cool! It's going onto my wishlist right now :-). (When I'll ever get to it is another question, but if it's on the list, it will be read at some point.)

Yay, mission accomplished!

It'll be available in e as well, from what I gather, so the long tail of acquisition works, too.
And then you can purchase it for your library (once you have fallen in love with Maddie and "Verity").

Also, the Bookdepository is quite happy to send to New Zealand, shipping included.

Ah yes, the Book Depository and I have been friends for over a year - NZers can get books there for the price that Americans and Europeans pay for them, rather than the 100% mark-up we have to pay here in NZ (and no shipping costs, either). It's a thing of beauty! :-)

I sent you a coupon for 10% off your next purchase - at the salimbol@livejournal.com address - hope that's right. Otherwise tell me your e-mail and I can send it. The coupons are valid till the 28th or 29th of February.

geez louise, you're like a one-woman invasion force! If this turns into a bestseller you will have to take most of the credit!

*grin* I think Egmont UK already had a bit of an idea of what they potentially had in CNV when they made you launch title for their new imprint, organised a blog tour and created a video. Not to mention you have three different publishers for the book, so people in the English speaking world are definitely convinced this has oomph ( ... )
