*sigh* Poor Dean! What a lovely, Dean-centric, gen fic this is! I jumped ahead and read 5th part too, curious about the person Dean's going to have sex with to satisfy the NC-17 sex warning, but didn't clue me in. I hope it's Matt from last chapter, because he was very sweet!

His meeting with Cas at the end was similar to their meeting in your other gen fic "Hey brother", but I found it improved, both in dialog and because here he kissed Cas. ;)

I loved how you used your OCs, namely Matt in the previous chapter (Dean's first friend in this life, like Cas was in his other life), and clueless Megan in this chapter.

I loved Dean checking his phone like a teenage girl when Cas didn't answer the call. I was saddened by moments in the 5th season when I naturally expected Dean to show he's worried about Cas, but he didn't (Sam did!), and I'm glad to see such script faults rectified in fanfic.

oh, i'm happy you like this! especially the parts about rectifying dean and cas' relationship -- this kinda did grow out of how frustrating it was to watch dean just totally take cas for granted. and the similarities to 'hey brother' are totally on purpose! smilla02 asked me to explore that world, and this was where i went. :)
