Like others above have said, it could be a UTI with crystals which commonly causes more problems in males due to the smaller diameter of their urethra. Or so I was told by my vet when my male cat starting peeing on my bed. My cat needed surgery on his no-no parts and became a different cat afterwards, unfortunately. He would never allow anyone but me near him after that and would bite and scratch anyone else. Especially vets. Unfortunately my cat attacked my new-born son a few years later and I had to find a new home for my poor old grumpy kitty ( ... )
