I finally managed to get my act together and sign up for Yuletide. My Dear Author letter, if anyone's interested.

Power of Three! Oh God, I adored that as a child! I used to walk through the soggy fields of Dorset peering around hopefully for Dorig. It's been so long since I read it, I've forgotten all the characters you name - except doesn't it start off "This is the story of the children of Adara.."? You're right, she deserves to have fic written about her!

Isn't it just magical? I was young enough when I first read it that I got entirely caught by the Lymen are humans trick, and was genuinely surprised by the giants.

Indeed, that's the opening -- I loved Gair as a child, being rather Gair-like myself, but now I feel Adara got a bit short-changed when he took over.

There's a lovely story from a couple of years back, by the way: The Lay of Homecoming by the dependable Rosie Rues, if you haven't seen it.
