So, I had an idea while leafing through DGM again. What if the heart (hearts?) is the Apocryphos? Or is it Apocalypse, now? I mean, it actually might just make sense. Unlike my previous theory (about Allen having to kill someone he loves when he turns into the 14th, because turning into the 14th makes him love someone he will kill), this one

hmmmm.... It's a good idea, I think, and it makes sense. I don't think it's very likely, though. I'm pretty convinced the heart will turn out to be something much more closely related to Allen/the 14th/Mana than that, possibly Allen's own Innocence... not sure how that'll work, considering how many times it's been examined before (and that one time it was floating around completely in bits) but somehow.... man, I dunno.

hmmm, I think Allen's aging has more to do with whatever Mana and the 14th did than anything else. But I don't really get it either.

Have I mentioned how much I HATE all the vagueness? HATE HATE HATE HATE. I mean, this whole thing of "there's actually a past the characters in the present know nothing about, and that secret past explains everything!!! so have a few unhelpful flashbacks, which will only make sense in the very last chapter when we show the entire flashback sequence!" is pretty much how 90% of mangas go, BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS. DGM has flashbacks and hints and more flashbacks and NOTHING MAKES SENSE, it's hard to even understand what the fuck's happening at the moment, everything's a mess. WHY, HOSHINO, WHY?

ahem. anyway. sorry 'bout that little outburst.

Allen as the pope, oh god. I can see all the crackfic. when the secret came out they'd try to stuff him in the clothes and the ridiculous hat! well, good luck with your plot bunnies. XD

Yeah, that's probably how it wen, really. Though, it's damn weird that even the 14th doesn't have any clue as to why and how it happened. (Of course, the REAL explanation is rather simple: it's just wouldn't do to have a main character who's over forty in a shounen manga. XD)

...which reminds me, didn't Cross wonder at some point how Allen got his Innocence? Or was it someone else?

And yes, I so share your feelings. I was actually damn surprised when we FINALLY found out Kanda's past. I mean, it's been hinted at since... when? the sixth chapter or what?

Watch it, you might end up seeing the DGM/HP monster one day... XD

shounen jump dropped D.Gray man a month ago because Hoshino is sick again. :( . There hasn't been any new news about D.gray man. I'm already accepting the fact that it might be on indefinite hiatus.
