In Which I Come Up With A Theory

So, I had an idea while leafing through DGM again. What if the heart (hearts?) is the Apocryphos? Or is it Apocalypse, now? I mean, it actually might just make sense. Unlike my previous theory (about Allen having to kill someone he loves when he turns into the 14th, because turning into the 14th makes him love someone he will kill), this one actually has some proof.

...okay, the proof mainly consists of a gut feeling (I mean the series is going to have to start on the ending soon... chapter-wise, at least... and nothing's ever pretty in DGM, so something called "the heart" - that's supposedly going to help defeat the Earl - just won't be anything nice and fluffy), but then there's also this. In chapter 202, when... um Cheryl(?) is talking with the Bookman about the Earl and the 14th, he says that the Noah family will definitely kill the 14th - except, the Earl has apparently ordered them to protect him from the heart (with their lives). And look! Who are they trying to stop from killing Allen in the latest chapters? And this includes not only Tyki and Rhoad (who could be excused... due to circumstances no one actually knows, other than - supposedly - the characters themselves and possibly Hoshino), but also Jasdevi.

Plus apocryphos is an Innocence and apparently damn strong one too, and I'm relatively sure it's been stated somewhere - or at least implied - that the heart's supposed to be an Innocence too.

...though, it'd suck if I was right about this. I mean, the way things are, why the heck hasn't the Earl already won? The Order doesn't really stand a chance. ...Unless it's in the rules, which the Earl mentioned back when they were taking off after the Alma Karma fiasco. (Seriously, rules. This thing is way messed up.)

(And when is the next chapter going to come? They said March and it's April now!)

EDIT: No, it doesn't work after all. In chapter 203 Tyki says Apocryphos' purpose is to protect the heart... Oh man, Allen.
