Posted a pic heavy post earlier but LJ didn't want to play. I have been in Paris 24 hours and have already ate all the bread! Today I was at the Louvre and the Centre Pompidou.

Heh, my old prof was actually the foremost authority on Dark Age history and archaeology. He excavated South Cadbury in the late '60s and published the findings in a book called By South Cadbury is that Camelot. He was a canny old bugger who knew exactly when to invoke the name of Arthur for a bit of extra publicity and funding. The prof who replaced him when he retired turned his nose up at all that kind of stuff but then went and found a slate marked Arturus in a dated context at Tintagel! I don't think he was best pleased ;)
