[Spoiler (click to open)]I can't decide whether to feel sorry for Anastasia for being cheesed. The machine is a little worrying perhaps, but she doesn't seem to be suffering from it. Are you going to keep her cheesed or change her back

Hooray, a Katri-comment! [Spoiler (click to open)]I think I'll keep Anastasia cheesed, at least unless she ends up needing another aspiration instead. She's easier to handle this way

I read below that you're considering a 50/50 to hunt down the culprit for the vampire skin thing. It just crossed my mind that if you're lucky and it really is a default (and not, say, a weird side effect from a hack or something), it might be that the creator has named it something including "default" or maybe "def". So perhaps you could search for that in your Downloads folder and see if there are any surprising defaults in there. Of course, it could be something else, and it could be that the creator didn't name their default that way, but possibly worth a try.
Thanks for the thoughts on the challenge. :) I don't know if I'd be really all that good with the planning, 100 days seems like it's a lot about the luck, too; it's hard to prepare for *everything*. Anyway, I think I'll probably add the challenge at some point. I don't know if I want to do it this rotation or wait a bit, but at some point. :)
I'll give that search a shot, and when I do a 50/50, I'll start by pulling my defaults folder, just in case it hitched a ride with an outfit or a hair or something. I just didn't want to have to. :(
Yes, I agree that luck plays a lot into the challenge... but if I'd thought a bit, I could have had Pong or Rebecca talk to that vampire and built up a friendship. After all, there are two vampire-related items on the list that will probably come up at some point. You can prepare generally for most of the items on the list with care. (Callista said you should be able to prepare for all of them, but acknowledged that because of her particular brand of neuroatypicalness it might be easier for her than for others.)
I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the challenge! :)
I'm sure I didn't add in any default skins, but since that's the consensus that the problem is a default, I'll do a 50/50 and see if one sneaked in somehow. I'll just use a cheat to summon and dismiss the vampire for testing

I actually did take the qualifying test online for Jeopardy! once, but I froze and forgot a lot of the things I knew. :(
People didn't know about how dangerous radioactive things were back in the day. I read an essay by Terry Pratchett once in which he was talking about when he worked at a nuclear power plant. When people came for tours, they had to go through a special detector on the way out to be sure they hadn't been contaminated with radiation - and one guy set it off on the way IN. It turned out he'd been restoring an old glow-in-the-dark clock, and they ended up having to not only decontaminate him but also his whole kitchen, and his kitchen table had to be disposed of as hazardous waste!
[Spoiler (click to open)]Ah, the cheese song, it's in my head again! :D Really strange for Anastasia to not be romance, but she seems to be taking quite well to grilled cheese. Join us, Anastasia, we have brie!
Pong and Rebecca, still so adorable together. <3
Haha, 'borrowing' a child, it'd count for the challenge, so why not? :D
Anastasia is actually working quite well with her new aspiration. It takes a lot of work to still be a romance sim when you're about to become a grandmother. (No spoilers -- Allyn is rabidly Family, so grandchildren are inevitable, and sooner rather than later.) The grilled cheese suits her for some reason.
Pong and Rebecca are a great couple!
Borrowing a child is perfectly challenge-legal and actually suggested byt eh challenge creator, so there is noreason at all why not, and I'm gonna do it, you see if I don't!

Borrow a kid and feed them radioactive milk, sounds normal.
Aww no vampire, that's a shame.
Well at least the date was both doable and healthy...? lol.
