oh man, that sounds so awesome!

I remember in 'ol '93 Des Moines flooded like crazy and the cities water treatment plant was all underwater. it took them a week to get water flowing again at all, and then it was like two weeks after that before they considered it potable

I use recreation road pretty much every day driving home from work. It's the short cut to route 30 that avoids lots of traffic snarls. What's kind of amazing is that they put the pipe in just a few years ago so they could repair the old aquaduct from the quabbin. Someone oopsed big time, and I predict that the lawsuits on this one will take years and years to resolve, mainly enriching the lawyers.
