This was beautiful ♥ In a way I'm glad JKR didn't do Fred's death/George's reaction enough justice in the book -- it leads to great work like this! :)

That was really nice, Smurfy. I have tears in my eyes. I experienced more emotion in your little ficlet than I did in that whole chapter. Not because I didn't care for the characters, just because there was no follow through in the original work (I felt). I can't imagine how difficult it would be for George to go on, but the reconciliation with Percy was a nice touch.

I was sort of surprised she didn't go into more detail about the aftermath of Fred's death. Cedric got so much pomp. Where's the Fred love?

But then it would have killed me and I would be sobbing like a baby still so maybe I should be glad?

I cried at Dobby's funeral. I think the ones for Fred, Remus and Tonks would have killed me ded.

That still doesn't excuse her for completely glossing it over, though.

Part of me's sad that she didn't do it in the book itself, another part wishes she'd written an addendum/epilogue (maybe in PDF format at her website) to be downloaded by the fans to cover that very thing, and another part of me is glad she left it...
as ____faith said, it leaves folks like SWMF to do what she couldn't (or maybe couldn't bear to...)
