Britain needs a ginger revolution - Monbiot can be a tit, but I like this article. Although I prefer the term "Graphite Revolution" that someone else used, from the pencils we use too cast our vote. ;)

Of all the nations to whinge about migration Britain has the most arrant hypocrisy on the subject! We colonised nations and added them to our Empire, we made our language dominant and expect everyone else to learn it and our Ex Pats are all over the globe in much higher numbers than any one else's Ex Pats are here.

For example most of my family live in France( which is sort of fitting cos half of our side came from there in 1066 and the other half from Spain rather later :).

Don't get me started on the BNP using WW2 iconography to hark back to some supposedly golden age! Do they thin we'd have won that war without the Poles, the Russians, The French, The Americans, The Australians, New Zealanders, Gurkhas, Jamaicans and so many others who fought alongside us?

Oh and our monarchy has been French,Dutch,German,Austrian.

Even England's patron saint was Lebanese.

We're a mongrel nation and all the better for it

Our strength is in our diversity

Grrr ARGH!!!

:hugs:

What's their position on people who weren't born here but have British parents?
