The way Bodie tells it, it may have involved a herd of curious cows, a bicycle-ride down a rutted path, and the laws of physics gone horribly, horribly wrong. He relates the tale with broad gestures, flapping hands illustrating flight and wide eyes for sincerity.

Doyle dabs gravy and a smile away with the back of his napkin, orders another steak from the disinterested waiter who standing in the corner three tables away.

Seven minutes later finds Bodie on the fifth bite of his second steak. Revenge, they’ve both found, is best medium-rare and gravy-drenched with a side of mash.

That's fantastic! Right cheered up my morning that has. Especially as I'm taking advantage of being new and not having much admin to do on a dedicated 'admin' day. I don't feel too guilty though, as I'll be spending this afternoon moving office furniture down 2 flights of stairs! Know any strong boys who can help me...?

I love the idea of Doyle sat there listening, all fond and indulgent while Bodie handflaps his way through one of his stories. And revenge indeed! Great stuff - thanks ♥
