The effects of land ice melting is more complicated than you might expect.

Study of ice cores finds that Antarctica was 4oC warmer 130,000 years ago than now.

So much for that scare:
Climate scientists have expressed surprise at findings that many low-lying Pacific islands are growing, not sinking.
Coral islands do that, since coral reacts to ( Read more... )

Oh, no. The man responsible for The Worst Paper on Climate Change Ever isn't treated with the respect he demands by the people he has been calling fools, frauds and worse for years, and they've stopped inviting him to debate. Mainly because they've already proved his nonsense to be nonsense repeatedly, and quite frankly are sick of it.

The poor dear.

In similar circumstances, physicists, biologists and geologists refuse to debate flat-earth creationists.

Let's see if I get this right: the witchhunt against the CRU won't be finished until you get the result you want?

It can't possibly be that they have no case to answer, after all. You and the flying monkeys have decided that they are guilty, and any result which doesn't result in Phil Jones being the same weight as a duck is obviously biased.

I find it illuminating that the first mention you make of the CRU's triple exoneration, and Mann's as well, is a petulant whinge that those investigations were biased because they came to a different conclusion based on the facts than you did based on... based on what Tony Watt told you to think, as far as I can tell. All logic to the contrary of that was gleefully ignored.

How so?

Their personal conversations were stolen and quotemined by people who already knew they were guilty, they just had to find evidence. They were hounded and sent death threats. They had three seperate enquiries exonerate them, and still you people say that, given that you know in your heart of hearts that Phil Jones is guilty, therefore any finding of innocence must be part of the konspirasy!!eleven1

But of course, from Truthiness land, that probably looks like fair process, or scientific method, or something.

You true believers would crack me up if you weren't working so hard to mess with the rest of us.

Osama bin Laden is in favour of action on Climate Change.

And Hitler was an environmentalist.

Well, obviously then, all environmentalists are not just Nazis, but also Wahhabists...

Wait, that doesn't follow at all. It's just another pathetic attempt to add one to one and leap directly to 3,184,215.

The link on Antarctic temperatures 130k years ago, its 4 degrees, not 40. Always interesting to read what Bjorn Lomberg has to say.

4 is what I wrote erudito October 10 2010, 12:43:19 UTC
it is 4oC as in 'o' for degrees, expect not done as a superscript :)

And yes, it is.

Thought this might interest you:

Michelle Malkin lists more examples of the anti-children movement with environmentalists.

Via the discussion on my lj, headnoises links Who Goes Nazi... and rather frighteningly, you could replace "Nazi" with 'environMentalist' or "Islamist" and ....it would still apply. It is curious, and rather disturbing.

Speaking of disturbing, there is also an advocacy of killing people over a certain age.
