First of all kumquats demand that you take it back! They (being the kumquats--I just realized that wasn't very clear at all and came back to edit) are not passionless. Do not make them come over there and protest thier little kuquaty selves! *wink*

And finally someone else who agrees that Ron/Harry makes no canon sense. I see that nonsense all over fandom about Ron/Harry being "so totally canon"-- bullshit. They're about as canon as Draco/Harry or Draco/Hermione which is to say not canon at all. That's not to say I don't like to read Ron/Harry. You know me, I'll pretty much read it all and be giddy in the process of doing so. I just find it aggravating that some people want to call something canon simply because they ship it. I would imagine this is the same complaint you have about the Harry/Hermione people shouting "it IS canon"

Hey it's a great ship, and I often make the claim that Harry loves Ron more than he loves anyone else in the world (at least until wee James is born). But that doesn't mean that they are totes slashy for each other all through the series. It just means their friendship is insurmountable.
