People on the internet are so dedicated. That is a lot of rice (and cake). I didn't couldn't finish her whole blog post. But from what I did read, it was obvious that she has no idea how to budget and save. Why not be roommates with one (or more) of her fellow suffering co-workers? That way they save on rent and can probably carpool to work. She talks about how she goes to bed hungry because 15 minutes is too long to cook rice. Maybe use time to cook rice instead of being on social media? The whole thing stinks of first world problems. And I hate open letters.
Yeah, from that letter, I only got that she was really stupid and annoying and that Yelp sounds pretty awesome with their free food and super benefits for all.
That book sounds rather interesting. I will have to give it a try.
The rant is rather ridiculous. I read every painful paragraph, and could not stop shaking my head. The company provides them food? Nice benefits with only 20$ copay? Honestly, $8.15/hour post-taxes isn't bad for an entry level job. From the sound of it, I wouldn't mind working there. The greed in the letter is just painful to read, saying food banks should feed them, and not, say, the homeless. It's just horrible, and I'm actually glad to see that her company let her go. From the sound of it, she didn't deserve it anyway.
