A More Substantial Post

As promised.

Last weekend, I got caught up in the organization of my life and decided that with everything I need to work on (and there is a LOT) that I was quickly going to get totally overwhelmed if I tried to tackle everything at once. I decided that my top priority has to be my health, so that is where I concentrated.

I am diabetic and was ( Read more... )

Thanks - I have had a rougher time this week with it as it is Customer Service Appreciation Week here at the office and there is lots of naughty food running around. Yesterday was tamales, chips and queso. Today there are croissants and Nutella...

You are absolutely not crazy for looking after your health in a serious and determined way. To get anywhere on time I set all my clocks ten minutes fast ... sounds nuts, but it works for me. When you find something that functions to help you reach a worthy goal, stick with it... if it works for you, it works, period.

You're already big, handsome, smart, and charming ... now go add 'healthy' to the list.

Loud cheers and warm hugs!

You are WAY too kind sir, but I do appreciate the good wishes. I was told this weekend by a guy that was interested in my locally that he would not want to be involved if I lose any more weight. I said a very easy goodbye...

I'll second that!

You're doing great! Just watch out for those crashes and be strong and resist temptation, and you'll be fine!

Resistance is *not* futile, but it is still tough. Thanks for good thoughts!

Congratulations! I know how hard the weight-loss battle can be. I have just started back on weightwatchers for the third time! I hope you figure out how to maintain once you have the weight down to the level you want. That's the bit I seem to have trouble with. I feel like the guy who's asked "Was it difficult giving up cigarettes?" To which he replies "No, I've done it hundreds of times!".

The health benefits alone make this worthwhile for you - good luck!

Danny, I have lost and gained back 100 pounds more times than I can remember. I am determined this is the last time...
