Yes, the birthday month has begun. Even though my official day is not until the 19th, I like the fact that it starts with the natal anniversary of the US as a nation. Also, I share my month with both my dad (on the 23rd) and my grandpa (the 21st), one of my best girlfriends from HS (the 18th), and a plethora of LJ friends - -

Enjoyed your review of Dreamgirls, proof again that there's nothing quite like live theatre. Also, I couldn't help thinking 'OMG, they're still doing shows at Music Hall?!' That's where I saw my first professional musical (The King and I) at the State Fair Summer Musicals around 1958. Good to hear they're still going strong. BTW, that same summer season they featured a one-person show by a woman named Marlene Dietrich. I didn't know who she was ... or I woulda gone to see her. Dumb kid.
Hugs!

The main reason I never go to see anything at Fair Park is that the only seats there I can afford are way up in the balcony where they are quite uncomfortable. All seats at the new PAC are quite expensive. We have has so many good shows come through that I would love to see, and one of these days hopefully I will get to...

Enjoy the pool party!
Thank you for the mention!
I told George many years ago that, since Christmas
is a big deal for a few months, our birthdays should be celebrated for the week before - and the week after - at the very least.

So if you're taking the whole month to celebrate your birthday, does this mean we're gonna have to find a month's worth of teasing you?
Ok, I can start: next time you have to post an actual video of you actually dancing...

I will see what I can do - might have to elicit some help on that...

I was so excited to hear that you were seeing "Dreamgirls", hearing the music live, seeing the fast-paced staging that leaves one breathless with its imaginative use of just a few set pieces, video and lighting. I saw the original Broadway production six times. Many of the actors from that time have gone on to distinguished careers in television and movies.
Glad to hear that you're finding balance through exercise and diet. Too bad about the handsome smoker. It's a deal breaker for me, too.
HUGS!

Yep - smoking is just one of those things that I can not get past.
