Two Quick Things

The first: I sort of unabashedly love the song "A Little Respect" by Erasure. I refuse to apologize for this.

The second: I watched The Lost Valentine last night and ended up bawling like a baby. Not because it was the Best Ever, but it pulled the right strings. It makes me wonder if younger generations will have the same sort of visceral ( Read more... )

Erasure kicks a whole lotta ass, BB. Have you heard Wheatus' cover of "A Little Respect"? It's good. Not Erasure-good, but good.

I have not!! I just randomly came across the video for it while flipping through the TV channels and I was all, "FUCK YEAH!" It is actually one of the few songs I've legitimately downloaded from itunes.

I sort of unabashedly love the song "A Little Respect" by Erasure. me too. :) I actually used in a cracky song fic I'm working on.

strikes a chord this makes sense - nostalgia, or hitting any button, can make a movie/story/play more memorable for me because it fills an emotional need even if it's not a stellar work.

Ahha! That's AWESOME!! It's just so catchy and fun! There's a Scrubs where they use it throughout the entire episode and it makes me SO HAPPY!!

I have a sort of nostalgic love for cheesy 80's and 90's pop/rock music. It's so fun! How can people hate it???
